Back to School Activities
It's been a couple of weeks since I've linked up with Manic Monday. Summer is flying by and I can't believe its already July! This packet has three beginning of the year activities. I teach third grade, but it could be used for any grade.
- "Find Someone Who..." Students will talk with classmates to find out if they fit into any of the categories listed below.
- Students will brainstorm a list words related to school that begin with each letter of the alphabet.
- Students will write about their summer vacation.

Breanne,
ReplyDeleteI like how your students delve into vocabulary knowledge, writing and thinking the very first day. These are engaging out-of-the-starting-gate activities.
Thanks for sharing them,
Connie

ReplyDeleteMy husband is a third grade teacher. I will be sure to share your post with him!

Thank you for the freebies. I will be teaching 3rd for the first time after 7 years of teaching 1st grade and these come in very useful. I am sure that I will learn a lot more from you.
